“Raw and sensual,
bold and original”.

Vasconcellos Studio is an architectural design practice founded by Juliana and Roberta Vasconcellos. The firm creates public and private spaces that embody a sensual, minimalist sensibility with lasting impact. Since its inception, its design ethos has been deeply rooted in an ongoing dialogue between Brazilian Modernism and contemporary art. At every scale and under every condition, Vasconcellos Studio designs for sensorial and emotional connection.

The studio offers architecture, interior design, collectible-furniture design, and exhibition design services.

Its clients include cultural institutions and international brands on projects such as the large-scale installation “Source of Pleasure” for Lavazza at Milan Design Week, celebrating the brand’s 130th anniversary. The studio regularly exhibits at leading international fairs, including Design Miami, PAD London, Milan Design Week, Nomad Circle, and The Salon NY. In addition, it maintains a flagship gallery in São Paulo and collaborates with premier design platforms—The Invisible Collection and ETEL—to present its collections to a global clientele.

Collectible furniture design is a central pillar of the practice. Stand-out pieces include the iconic Girafa Chair, held in the permanent collections of New York’s Museum of Arts and Design (MAD) and Brazil’s Museu das Cadeiras Brasileiras (MUC); the Tri Chair, a Casa Vogue Design Award finalist; the sculptural Galho Armchair in cast bronze, a limited edition that blurs the line between function and art; and the Geometria rug collection, winner of the Casa Vogue Design Award.

Residential architecture and bespoke interiors are a fundamental component of the atelier’s work and remain a continuing focus of Vasconcellos Studio’s design exploration.

A commitment to authentic materiality is vital. A preference for natural, raw materials—solid wood, stone, and metal—combined with artisanal techniques informs every project. We believe the most enduring environments embrace nature and use materials that are genuine. The result is work that creates emotional value and demonstrates a lasting dedication to quality and craftsmanship.

Vasconcellos Studio has garnered multiple honors, including the CDA Award in Paris for Best Commercial and Cultural Interior Design (2024) and repeated listings on Elle Decor USA’s A-List of the most influential and innovative figures in global design.
